16TH INFANTRY REGIMENT ASSOCIATION MISSION/ORGANIZATION

The 16th Infantry Regiment Association was formed to perpetuate the history and lineage of the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. Membership is open to anyone who served in the 16th Infantry Regiment during any period. It will act as a focal point for all former members and their families. Members is also available upon requesting to the Association for sons and daughters of former members expressing an interest in the Association

The Association is managed by an Association Board of consisting of an Executive Committee and Regular Board Members appointed who are either volunteers or appointed by the Board. The Active Duty Regiment currently consists of two Battalions, both Active Duty Commanders serve on the Executive Committee as Senior Advisors representing the two active duty Battalions. They also assist in administering the Association’s financial assistance to soldiers and their families during the holidays, and while deployed to the Middle East.

THE OPS PLAN AS SHOWN IN THE WEB SITE WAS PASSED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS WHO ARE DULY ELECTED BY THE GENERAL MEMBERS OF THE 16TH IRA.

ANY OBJECTIONS OR QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE OPS PLAN SHOULD BE PRESENTED TO THE EXECUTIVE BOARD OF THE BOD IN WRITING FOR ACTIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS..
